The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo

Here are some links of the Mystic Knights of The Oingo Boingo
One is Danny Elfman preforming Saint Infirmary Blues and the other is The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo on the Gong Show

Danny Elfman as "Satan"

This took me longer than I thought it would. This is the block in,
I have some changes to make and the final goal is to cast it and have it painted before Halloween. A side note when the casting is done the eyes will light up.

Let me explain how this idea evolved. My mother, Pat Hughes-Urbach, was friends with a woman named Lori Mann. They worked together at Lori's father's school, Milton Mann Musical Education Studio. Lori was part of a musical theater group called "The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo", which was lead by the Elfman brothers, Richard and Danny Elfman. Danny Elfman became one of the preeminent composers of our time. One of the musical numbers "The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo" would preform was, "Saint Infirmary Blues" and Danny Elfman would sing it as Satan. I was so inspired when I saw this, I decided to sculpt him as the Satan character.

My lifelong passion is to make films. In an effort to obtain the skills necessary to make such films I have branched out in to many different fields of art. I began studying theater in high school and I have acted in such plays as A Midsummer Nights Dream and Inspecting Carol. At the same time I was experimenting with video by making short films. Soon I began to focus more on the visual arts and began Studying Animation. After extensive training in traditional animation I began to focus on my fundamentals at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art. I studied figure drawing, painting and sculpture. After a few years of training I began working at High Street Studios on Fox and the Hound 2 as a layout artist and art coordinator. At the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, I met Matthew Marchant. Matthew Marchant and I formed Aquamafia Productions and began to work on the Emperor of Tanganyika an epic children's story. I began to experiment with puppetry and animatronics at this point. Matthew Marchant, Christopher Ulrich and I formed CMD Productions and began working on "The Seed of the Garden" which was completed on July 2007. "The Seed of the Garden" is a children's story for children in re:mission. I will be finishing my education at LAFFA this fall in their full-time Atelier Program.
